Facebook has found a new way to keep users from leaving its app ecosystem.The corporation is checking a new shortcut WhatsApp button in its main mobile application.
The Whatsapp shortcut button is placed and set at the top of the Newsfeed of the Facebook and by tapping, it will shift you to WhatsApp without leaving or closing the Facebook app. The feature is being set out to only a limited number of users now. If you are among the lucky one users, you’ll see the WhatsApp button on the Newsfeed section of your Facebook Android app. Other users of iOS may have to wait for more for a few weeks to get this latest update.
Facebook is making effort to figure out several different ways to keep users inside its application ecosystem (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram). A few months before Facebook tested and checked a similar button for Instagram as well in its mobile app. It is also trying Instagram appear more like Facebook and newly introduced a new feature to share Instagram Stories on the Facebook app.
According to the statement of Mr. Iyer, the feature only began showing up in his FB app when he changed the language to the Danish language of the Facebook application.
Moreover, as per a report stated that it is also testing a new feature which is of group video chat app that’s called Bonfire, on users living in Denmark.
